The Trainings for Small-scale Milk Producers Were Held in Vinnitsa Oblast

On February 27-28, 2018 Swiss-Ukrainian Milk Safety Project conducted the training on the production of safe and high-quality milk for small-scale producers in the village of Samgorodok and Kordyzivka Kozyatynsky rayon Vinnytsia oblast. The key themes of the training were the following: hygiene requirements for milking and milk collection, detection of subclinical mastitis, and proper feeding for high quality and milk yield.

Almost 50 participants of the training had an opportunity to get acquainted with the simple and quick technique of detecting hidden mastitis forms and to receive as a gift from the Project a set for self-estimating the number of somatic cells in milk.

Valentina Ivanovna Panasyuk, head of the Milk Purchase Point in the village Prushanka Kozyatynsky rayon, project partner in Vinnytsia oblast presented the topic about milking and milk collection hygiene. The Project aims to involve milk processors more and more actively in the training activities on the good practice of milk production for small and medium-sized producers.

Project team expresses their gratitude to the head of the village council Samgorodok Chernipko Mykola Vasylovych and head of the village council Kordyshivka Bayda Ivan Mykolaevych for support in organizing and conducting the training.
